Valentine's Day
Today is Valentine's Day.
While I relish the challenge of getting the perfect gift for the special someone; topping up with a bouquet of champange gold tulips, today is just like another day for me. No doubt that in future, I would need to relish that task again, haha..but right now, I really want to thank Him for giving me the level of security that no material things on Earth can get you. Yup, not even a mini cooper, a 7 digit bank account, lifelong supply of Raoul shirts can give you.
The bottomline is Material Desires can only give you temporary satisaction.
But still I have spend a meaningful day yesterday preparing for VDay!..haha..not for myself but for my parents! I cheekily sms my dad and asked him if I can helped him to order flowers (underlying meaning is to remind him)..haha..just in case he forgot..and gamely he took up the challenge!. Last night, he went to get flowers for my mum in front of all of us!..i mean my siblings...aWwwww..sweet eh...haha! This year is really a turning point for me and my family because emotionally we are really getting closer than much before and much of the ice has melted away and I would keep praying that it will continue to improve from here...
God is truly awesome because you cannot imagine what He can do when you decide to give every of your concern to Him. He not only answers your concerns, but provides so much more for you in your life so that we can in turn be a glowing testimony to others!
Never doubt. Only trust. Even the situation doesn't warrant you to trust.
