Ending the Year Well Part 1
The last time that I wrote was on Nov 10th and since then, many positives have came out for my life. Right now, I am in melbourne, blogging away after enduring a 8 hour gruelling flight with no food intake; not that SIA is starving me or I paid a discounted airfare but its just my biological setup. Usually people who know me will know that I have no problem eating bak kut teh with 2 bowls of rice back home and strangely when I am 30,000 feet above ground, everything seems so nauseating. As I was on board the flight last night, when I opened the food that they served, the sight of the oily chicken meat made me wanting to puke and throw up. Okay, I see the disgust on your faces and I shall stop describing my personal ordeal. But God is good! I didn't experience any air turbulences, headaches during the flight and though the cabin was real cold, everything went pretty well. Praise God!
Back to listing the many positives that happened during the past 1 month. First of all, let me touch on the financial aspect of it. As I pledged to give THE AMOUNT that God has impressed in my heart, it was really a sacrifice because in the natural realm, it seems that I will be going under my targeted savings for 2006. But I know from past experiences with God that as we give Him our best, though it might be unequal amounts for different individuals; it is surely equal sacrifice for everyone of us, He will certaintly take care of our needs and desires. Thus, this is the list of blessings that I have recieved thus far after pledging:
1) A Lenovo Desktop worth S$1700
2) Financial Blessings worth S$520
3) One week's provision of using my parent's new car
Definetely God has never shortchanged me and He will never shortchanged anyone of us. As far as I could remember, ever since I started to give to the building fund campaigns about 3 years ago, God has always blessed me with promotions, financial increments, favour of men wherever I went and many many more; some being tangible blessings and some intangible ones such as good health! So during this Arise and Build season, lets ARISE and BUILD God a place where all His people can congregate and worship Him together in spirit and in truth.
Secondly, I would like to touch on the intangible side of blessings that God has poured forth into my life in the past 1 month. In the past 1 mth, I have been tasked to do 2 other projects in my department for my team as my current project is ending soon. I really want to thank God for His favour that is upon me that has resulted in successful completions of the projects that I am involved so far. In addition, I have managed to settle in well with my colleagues and seriously they are all LEGENDS in their own rights; each having come from different backgrounds but yet are still able to contribute to the department as a whole and progress as one.
Furthermore, God has also breathed new life into a friendship that I previously thought that it's already long gone and dusted. I felt really blessed by what has happened so far and without a doubt, I will continue to pray for more breakthroughs in this area!
I will attempt to write a short story during my time in Melbourne so stay tuned for more updates!
Ciao!
