A new week ahead!
After the first 'honeymoon' week with HSBC, today marks the start of the 2nd official week at HSBC for me! For those who didn't know that I've switched jobs, I am currently working as a Client Integration Officer at HSBC and so far it has been good for me, although I've many notes and documents to read up on but yet, God has been good and He has really blessed me with the favour of men! In fact, I didn't sleep until about 3.30am this morning because after watching the football match in which man utd lost to arsenal by a freak 1 goal; I just felt impressed by God (not because of the match results) to pray and be prayed for this new week ahead!
Thus, I started to pray for 30-45 mins until about 3.30am and as I prayed and worshipped God by singing my favourite worship song; "Oh Lord my God", I just felt His tangilble presence once again. For the past 2 weeks, when I was feeling so dry emotionally; He has never failed to touch my heart and unlock the dams in my heart. I particularly enjoyed praise and worship during service the past 2 weeks because whenever it reaches worship and as i sing, tears began to stream down my eyes. When I started to confess and tell Him about the situation in my life in which I can do nothing about other than to keep praying and believing God for it to come to past, His presence just overwhelms me every single time.
God is very real; In fact He is right here with you now. Yes although we can't see Him or His hands at times, but you gotta keep trusting and believing Him that He will deliver you out of your situation. The world tells us that we need to be in control; that information is the key to authority; that we need to pre-empt situations before it happens; that we need to retain overall control over our lives; the way we live, the food we eat; the people we meet. Yes its true; but only to a certain extent.
What is more important is that we need to SURRENDER all our rights to Jesus himself and recognise that we need Him in every situation of the day or week. Every meeting we attend, we need to pray for wisdom and His annoiting to come upon us; not just situations that we cannot do anything about. For me personally, this is one area that I would need to work on and strengthen every single day.
Had a good online chat with her last night. At least managed to engaged in more than just weather cliche talk that we have went through in the past 2 weeks. I really want to thank God for sending such an awesome person into my life. Even though we have not met for about 3 weeks, but I will still continue to pray for this friendship because it means a lot to me and I hope to her too. God, you know the desires of my heart.
This week is truly going to be awesome simply because God is with me! Looking forward to it!
