Emerge 2006
Last week's Emerge Conference was simply mind blowing and spirit filling! I still remembered how i went with a tired body but expectant spirit because beneath and beyond all the hype and vibe of the conference, i know that God is going to move in such a powerful way! And He did!
On Thursday, i attended the first night session of Emerge and was given the blessed opportunity to serve by singing in the choir! Well, personally for myself, this is already a breakthrough because not only did i get to serve in the choir, i was also given the privilege to stand in the first row! (which means more exhuberance and higher level of countenance!) Praise God for open doors! Wow! That night, Pst Kong preached about the importance of not limiting God and His works in our lives and that really hit home in my spirit because so many a times, i would be overly self righteous and unconsciously telling God that well i think i have enough blessings in my life already. But as Pst shared that message on thursday, i felt enlarged in my spirit and something is going to break forth in the spiritual realm!
As we allow God to move freely in our lives, we can experience the 100 or 1000 fold blessings in all aspects of our lives and how awesome would that be?! Remember my friends; NEVER LIMIT GOD IN ALL WAYS!
In the following 3 days (Fri - Sun), Pst shared about the lives of various bible characters such as Daniel, Esther, Abraham, Jesus, Joseph, Job and Noah and how they all lived in COMPLETE RIGHTEOUSNESS despite living in the broken down and corrupted society in their days. Personally, the bible character that impacted me the most was Daniel; because despite living in the most idolatrous society of his day (Babylon), Daniel was able to excel above all situations, work with the Babylonian king and was even made the chief of all magicians!
In short, i would like to thank God for the unlimited opportunities that He has placed in my life throughout the 4 days of Emerge where i could serve in choir, drive to church, fellowship with my dear cg members and choir khakis and at the same time be able to bless them too!
Taking off my cloak of negativity and sin, i pressed on to the higher call that He has set aside for me.
