Power of Focus
What happens when you take your eyes off the road when you're driving?
You will eventually crash into the side railings of the road and end up in a ditch.
Similarly, when we are walking with God, there are times when what the world has to offer is too alluring, too beautiful, too good to be true, too wonderful that we cannot reject and hence as a result, we cannot stay focused. To a person who is not focused, he/she will eventually be drawn away into the cares of the world and away from the presence of our all mighty Jehovah Jireh; the creator of the Universe and all creation.
This entry ain't going to be a long one; but i just want to say that God allows us to see the fall and demise of people in our lives to remind us that if we are not focused in what we are doing, we can get so lured away by the things of the world that eventually we will leave the house of God. As i am typing this, i am also saying this to myself; be focused on the things of the Kingdom for it will eventually bring you a reward.
I am determined in my heart, soul and spirit to stay focused each and every single day to follow God. God is not elusive, He is always there for us; waiting to fellowship with us but how can we hear His whisper when we have the cares of the world blasting in our ears?
If He can bring me back from death, there's nothing He cannot do.
