As I grow, I put away childish things.
As I reflect on my past and my present, I can't help but to be astonished at the work that God has done in my life. The present me that you know is a far cry from what i used to be; but i know that dwelling on past glories, living in past victories or standing upon past revelations is never the intention of God for us in our lives. I know that there is a lot more changes/developments that He wants to do through me, because through me, many many people are going to be blessed, through my artwork, graphic designs, or simply encouraging statements, many people are going to be blessed like they have never been before.
The next few months until the end of the year is going to be exciting. Why? Because I am expecting God to continue moulding me, changing my character, refining my outlook on life that as i go through daily life, I will not adopt the same negative attitude that i once had, putting on the coloured lenses that i used to wear daily, imposing the judgemental attitude on others. But more than and above that, He is going to take me to places that i've never been before, bring me to meet people that i've never met before in my life, pour forth abundance in every area into my life and that includes finances, faith, emotions, strength, empathy, LOVE, discernment, wisdom, understanding and ANNOITING.
That wherever my feet threads upon, there His presence will be and there people will be impacted.
God has brought me thus far, and He is going to bring me further. If you notice by now, i am making a lot of BY FAITH statements, ain't it? Yes, because i believe that we must first see it in our spirit, believe that we are going to have it and we will have it.
In fact, i am determined that my soul is going to prosper first in my life and then all other areas will prosper as well! Amen!
One of my members told me today that he sees me as an example. I gasped at that thought and asked him why? He said because i am a very goal oriented person and always planning ahead in life; whats my next career move, plans to settle down in 2 yrs time and plans to obtain a master's degree. I shan't read too much into his casual comment, but I just want to say that without God, I am NOTHING.
I am also very happy for Lein, one of the close friends that i have known since hollywood days; days when we used to go tanjong katong for lunch after the prayer meetings! haha! she wrote an article for Harvest Times! Wow! So proud of you girl! Continue to shine for the Lord ok? and Harvard Writing School beckons for you!
As I grow in life, i will determine in my heart, soul and spirit to continually put away CHILDISH things.
- Childish Thoughts
- Childish Fights, Quarrels and Disagreements.
- Childish Ways of handling finances, emotions and time
- The 'Always me, Give me, Bless me' mentality.
I firmly believe that God doesn't just use adults to impact the world; He doesn't have a criteria where He sorts His children by age. But quite on the contary, to the extent we are willing to grow up ourselves, take responsibility for our lives, that's the extent He is going to use you and me.
Decide today, whether you are a believer or not, take ownership of your life and be responsible. Remember; always be the faithful steward who took the 5 tokens and traded for 5 more.
