Weekly Reflections
As I finished my lunch, I took some time and sat alone at one round table myself, looking at the 2 security guards walking in and out; opening the gates for incoming and outgoing cars. In constrast, right next to me is a table filled with teachers; discussing about the upcoming speech day and the seperate arrangements for the individual roles. I just thought to myself; what do I really want in life? What do I want to tell myself when I look back when I am 85 yrs old? The sad thing is; at this current pt, I still don't know what I really want in life.
Everything is just mundane, routine, monday - friday I go to work. Thursday and Saturday I attend cell group and service; which I enjoyed because I could really be myself to praise and worship God. Walking in His will - thats what keeps me going and serving in choir till today. I am starting to get dissatisfied with the things I am doing now; though I am still doing it faithfully. Applied for NIE for the third time and got rejected; with no reason whatsoever stated in the letter. Initially I was quite pissed off because when you are rejected for a position/job that you're applying for, isn't it courteous or deserving to know why?
To establish a background, I did reasonably well in my diploma and got 4 distinctions for my degree transcript. So what exactly is their problem? I seriously don't understand back then and I still don't today. But anyway, I leave it to Him to decide when to tell me why I didn't got in.
Went for a job interview with a bank recently and was quite surprised when the VP(Technologies) treated me to coffee (which I pleasantly declined and had ice blended chocolate) at CoffeeBean. We had a long discussion and he asked me so why am I planning to rejoin the corporate world since teaching is a more Fulfilling job? My reply was pretty simple; fulfillment is not tangible. A larger pay check is tangible. We both laughed and I continued to add that the actual people who can get BOTH fulfillment in a tangible and intangible way are people working in MOE ( or in short REAL teachers, not trainers). In summary, its a very fruitful talk with him because he didn't interview me at all. Instead, its a nice cosy discussion.
Now, let me tell you what I really want to do. At first, I want to teach in a school; which explains why I got this trainer position in the first place. After being rejected by NIE for 3 times, I decided that well this might not be the right time yet to join the ministry. So I started to ask myself what else would I relish doing?

Car Reviewing (if you know me) has always been my passion flowing in my blood.
Human Resource never appealed to me only until recently that I got interested to join HR.
Until then, I would continue to remain in my school to train and educate young brains.
On the emotional side, was quite pleased to announce that I have almost recovered from post seperation traumas. :) In fact, met her last night at a traffic light junction when both of us are crossing the road. Well, if you happen to bump into someone at a traffic light, it must be His plan. Anyway, had a brief chat and we went our seperate ways. Glad to know that she is doing fine though feeling a little unwell last night. If you're reading, take care of yourself. :)
Speech Day rehearsal coming up at 2pm so i better hurry and settle my work before heading off to the hall. Oh before I go, the event of the year 'TTT' is coming up soon! haha! so excited! if you don't know what 'TTT' means, don't bother to find out. :)
