A New Year. New Visions and Dreams
I wondered to myself "Hows 2006 going to be like for me?" Last year was a year where i could see God's hand moving so tangibly in my life, moulding and shaping me to be a better and more accountable person to my leaders but how would 2006 be? This is also one of the reasons why i stoppped blogging for a while, simply because i don't want to write a post for the sake of doing it; else whats the point?
Ok, let me get down to the subject proper for today. Life in 2006.
2006 started off well for me, although i was rejected by NIE for the 2nd time of my application and i gotta admit that momentarily i was dissappointed and didn't understand why it happened? as i was really looking forward to entering NIE in June 2006. Nonetheless, after seeking counsel from my leaders and close friends, i am encouraged to give it a go again once i formally recieved my bachelor degree from RMIT Australia! In fact, one of my close friends whom i always enjoyed fellowshipping with; asked me "Is NIE a calling to you?" "Or is it just another job?" It struck me there and then because if its a calling, then IT WILL REMAIN A CALLING and IT WIL COME TO PAST! Amen? On the flip side, if its a job, then it will only be a job where selection is based on renumeration and other incentives.
I don't want to work for the sake of working. Why? Because I only have 1 life and i might as well make the most of it to impact people's life!
The past 2 weeks of Jan 2006 has been tremendously-busy. Haha! In school, besides the finalising of the scheme of work(s) and student information, was busy settling the new pcs bought so that the students could use them with ease for the first lesson. Thank God that i will be teaching the Sec 2E students this yr because they're simply a wonderful batch of students to teach and interact with! Have also been singing for choir every weekend and though physically i do feel tired and drained out, i appreciate and enjoy every moment of my serving! Whenever i am on stage, facing the congregation, the joy and desire to sing; not just visual impact and making noises but to sing really buzzes within me!
Thank God for using me in the choir!
I would want to live through 2006, making full use of every single day, not just working and also ministering. Currently am working through some details for a tuition outreach and in the process of speaking to my leaders about it! Really excited about it! We're all created for a special purpose, equipped with a destiny in our hands, all we need to do is to exercise the faith in us and unfold the destiny that's meant for us!
I have to determine in my heart that i am going to live each day purposefully and victoriously for His glory!
2006 would be a year where i fully step into the working adult-hood world. Last year was the first year of working and as the bible says "we have to move from glory to glory..strength to strength!" So this is the list of goals i want to acheive in 2006 (priority regardless of order):
1) Closer, More Intimate Relationship with God, my Father and Lord
2) To be disciplined to save consistently monthly
3) To impact lives of people around me through the LITTLE THINGS.
4) To apply and enter into NIE
5) To visit the gym 3 times a week and get toned up (head t0 toe)
6) To be a better son, a better friend and a better teacher
7) To maximise my GOD-Given potential and to serve Him
8) To rise up in ministry and cell group
Start making your new year resolutions now! Don't wait anymore because tommorow would never come!
