Focus
For the past 1 week, i had always felt in my spirit that i needed to be more focused in every aspect of my life; emotionally, spirtually, physically. Yes, i juz felt daily that the Holy Spirit is prompting me; "Glenn, do you need to commit to this appointment?" "Glenn, do you need to do this now?"..and i really feel very blessed that last night, Pst preached about being focused and single minded in everything that we do in life!
Praise the Lord for His revelations and annoitings He has placed in our lives!
The only reason why i am sharing this, taking time off my project to type this entry is because i hope that through this sharing, YOU could be encouraged, wherever you are reading this blog from.
Firstly, being focus means to be single-minded. Doesn't mean that you can only do one thing at a time, but you are focused on your purpose, on the destiny that God has called you to in your life. Whats your calling today? Where has God called you to right now? The bible says that there is a time and season for everything in our lives; for some of us it might be to grow stronger in the Lord, for others it might be a career switch. Whats your season now my friends?
Luke 11:34
"The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good(focused), your body is full of light"
By being focused on what God has called you to do, you are in turn releasing GLORY and EFFECTIVENESS in your life!
1) Focus is the centre of your attention. What you focus on, it is exactly the same thing that you will reap; for a man reaps what he sows.
2) Focus brings energy and power to everything you do in your life.
3) Our purpose is defined as: - Building on your strengths, distinctives and revelations that God has given us daily!
4) Distraction is to be drawn away from your original purpose to be doing something else.
5) How can we then not be distracted in our lives?
- Be disciplined in everything you do.
- Endure the pain of seperation of friends when you move up to the next level
- Endure the pain of dissappointment
- Be obedient in everything you do.
- Endure the pain of accusation.
6) Focus tells us when to pursue and when to let go.
7) Glory comes from pressure and problems! Without them, our glory cannot be shone forth
to glorify God's name!
I am so blessed in my life because every single friend that God places in my life is for a reason and purpose; some to disciple and discipline, some to fellowship and some are placed in my life so i could learn from them; the way that they do things. The attitude of excellence!
I am blessed in my life because of His continual strength that He places in me. For some of you who know me personally, the life that i am living now is LITERALLY given to me back by God himself. Without His supernatural strength, how would i be able to make it through hectic weeks of bs, opm and services??..Praise God for His strength!
I am blessed because simply God chose to believe in me even at times i fall, even at times i disobey and am defiant to His authority. Despite of all the flaws i have, GOD still loved us so much that He sent Jesus Christ to die for you and i.
I am blessed because at a young age of 23, i am already having 3 career options to choose from! Thank God for His provision in our lives so that we could live in abundance! Never think that poverty = humility!
I am blessed because of the awesome leadership that God has placed me under; in CHC where Pst Kong is such a great man of God, a man after God's own heart; under Sis Iris where her continual love, patience and discipleship had made such a difference in my life!
Thank God for awesome leaders!
Sometimes, we just don't realise how blessed we are right? until the blessing/gift is taken away from us; then we realised that we were blessed. Friends, don't live in past glory, past "i could have done this" attitudes, but lets move on to the present, the NOW, doing the things that we are called to do. It might not be the IN thing but so long as its a GOD thing, whatever our hands touches upon, REVIVAL will come!
There's a prayer that i prayed last night as i was serving in the choir on stage; i prayed that we would not just be filled with emotions only, hyped up emotions because its only temporal. But let each and everyone of us be filled with HIS PRESENCE in our lives, daily so that wherever we go, people will follow us; because Christ is in us! And as i prayed that, tears began to flow like never before, God's presence just soaked me from the inside out..
Thank God for His presence!!
Lets forgo the things that are not important, and keep focusing on the things God has called us to do!...lets continue to LOVE Him, LOVE His people and have a heart for the lost!
Lets keep on believing that there would be people coming and friends getting saved before we move to SG EXPO!
