Experiencing God.
Hi friends, just want to share with you a thought and subsequently a revelation that i had in the past 1 week or so...something that is very simple but yet very true indeed as we continue our walk with Jesus daily...
"As we serve God and His house more, our level of experience with Him must increase propotionally"
I just uttered this phase, although its not a bible verse but it encapsulates basically what every Christian would embrace and uphold in their individual walk with God...yes it's sad to see friends that you know leave church because they simply became dis-interested in serving anymore, not because they didn't experience the blessings and presence of God, but simply because they had not experience it in a v long time...if we focus on just serving God and His kingdom, while neglecting our daily experiences with Him, and by experiences i would refer to recieving revelations from Him, not just by knowing God by the head-faith but having the Abraham-Heart faith, we would eventually burned out.
Thus, its v important to know that in the midst of serving, no matter in which ministry, we must always check our spiritual level and to see if its drying up or not. If it is, pray and seek God more; simply because we serve the God who is the same yesterday, today and tommorow.
Last night's service was awesome but more importantly, i have witnessed personally what it means to lead by example. Pst Kong's decision to serve as a Honorary Senior Pastor is one that i am sure left many ppl in awe, but should we just remain, with our mouths wide open and stand in awe?...Certaintly not!..we should also then take up the mantle and follow the leadership of CHC...and fulfil our building fund and tithes!
Well, this past week has been tremendous for me..working, studying, serving every day..wow wow...and really, its the grace of God that kept me moving and going on each single day of my life...and every week as i attend service, the presence of God just refreshes me like a boy who came back from camp would go for a shower...i would never leave the presence of God and exchange it for anything else in the world.
Though money is impt in our lives, though technology is essential in our lives, but we must never forget that God is our ULTIMATE reason why you and me attend church and service.
Never must we forget that Jesus came and DIED for our sins.
Lets continue to walk with Jesus; shall we?
