how long does each moment last? how do we define a moment? when we say, we did something in a moment of madness, what do we actually mean? Can you define the term moment? I know i can't.
A verse from the Bible is 2Cor 4:17 says that "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory"
So we don't know what a moment means, but we do know how moments pass us by though. To me, each moment is just enough time for a person to make a hasty decision, say something wrong or to finally give in to the surrounding circumstances. Vice versa, it could also be the same amount of time for a person to make the right decision, turn their eyes away from temptation or to say life-giving words to another person.
What is your choice today to deal with each moment? I used to plan in months & years, often filling my life with big hopes for this and that. Not that I don't now. Just that that I have learnt that by trying to plan ahead with big dreams and hopes, but without the presence of a solid daily, momental foundation being laid, we are just DAY-dreaming.
Lu 14:28 "For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it"
In the past 2 days or so, I have learnt to see how precious, enchanting each moment of life could be. How encouraging and approving it could be if you make every moment count, every decision being made with the aim to glorify His name. That feeling is simply heavenly.
Now, I firmly believe that we, as Singaporeans should really talk less and think more before shooting off and the next thing we realised, we have lost a friend or gain many foes.
Make a decision today my friend.
To live each moment with gladness and contentment or to indulge in self-exaltment (SIN in short)
To live each moment, thinking that your parents came from the zoo (based on the evolution crap theory) or to live each moment, KNOWING that GOD is with you right now, right here.
I love everyone that comes into my life. I treasure those who I am spending my life now. But most of all, I adore GOD for what He has done for us.
For any hurt in this world, there is J.C (Jesus Christ)
God bless you. Until then, take care.
